Appliances should be tested based on some parameters such as earth leakage, earth continuity, insulation, physical condition & polarity. After testing appliances, a tag is placed on it based on the result. The tag indicates the date of testing and the next test date with a tracking code if passed. The minimum testing interval is 3 months and the maximum is five years, depending on the location and environment of the equipment.
